The excellent conditions and weather yesterday was worth waiting for to climb the classic traverse of Aiguilles du Diable (Mont Blanc Massif) with Morgan.
Climbing Mont Blanc is always a pleasure. This time, Anna and I made a long traverse from Aiguille du Midi, to the 3 Monts, Dome du Gouter, Aiguille du Gouter followed by a 3,800 meters descent to Les Houches.
I really enjoyed the Grand Combin; nice mountain, good snow conditions, great views and we were only 3 climbers.
Mont Vélan is a nice mountain located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Easily accessible from the Great St Bernard Pass, it is a good ski objective.
I wanted to ski the Haute Route for a while from Verbier to Zermatt, skipping the Chamonix part that I already know.
Continuing our exploration of the trails of Haute-Savoie, we went to Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval last weekend. The 28 km loop we chose might not be the best one for running but the scenery was fantastic.
Far away from races and crowd, we made our own routes along some of the best trails of Yosemite and Ansel Adams Wilderness.
Death Valley done! Amazing experience to run in this desolated place, alone, without support, without mobile coverage and no race crowd.
With a weather forecast too bad to go in the mountain, we changed our plan to run around Rochers des Fiz and Pointe d’Anterne. This 30 km Trail is definitively a must do!
La Jonction is a very scenic place where Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers met. The view over Chamonix valley and Mont Blanc is amazing.
The Nid d’Aigle is the start of the Gouter route of Mont Blanc but it is also a great place for Trail running… 24km and +1,250m/-2,000m.
